Q: Why did you want to start this kind of business and how did you get your start?

A: I got my start by organizing a women’s hiking group, simply because I love bringing women together and creating spaces where we can empower and support one another. What began as weekend hikes quickly grew into a community that meant so much more than just being on the trail. When the women in the group started asking about a logo and gear to represent us, I saw an opportunity to take that sense of unity even further. That’s when I decided to create something tangible — gear that not only celebrates our community but also gives back. With proceeds supporting local women’s shelters, this journey has allowed me to blend my passion for women’s empowerment with making a real difference for women and families who need it most.

Q: What does your business sell or provide?

A: Wild Women is a retail company that specializes in attire and accessories designed to empower adventurous, free-spirited and fashion-forward women. Your purchase directly supports local women’s shelters and survivors of domestic violence.

Q: What is the biggest challenge you are facing right now?

A: The biggest challenge I’m facing right now with Wild Women is growing our reach — finding new followers and getting the word out about who we are and what we do. We’ve built such a strong, supportive community, but the next step is making sure more women know about us and feel encouraged to join in. It’s about spreading our mission of women’s empowerment and giving back. Finding the right ways to share that story and expand our visibility is definitely the challenge I’m most focused on right now.

Q: What is your favorite thing to do or place in Cumberland County?

A: One of my favorite things about Cumberland County is the access to the outdoors. I love exploring the hiking trails, mountains and scenic views we have right here — it’s such a beautiful place to connect with nature. On top of that, I really appreciate the strong sense of community. People are supportive and welcoming, which makes it a wonderful place to grow Wild Women and share the message of empowerment.
